SAN
FRANCISCO, CA – In a city known for its culinary
excellence and creative exuberance, supperclub Restaurant in
San Francisco will host two renowned and accomplished chefs
to guest star with Executive Chef Guus Wickenhagen to create
its second Uber Dinner on Monday, June 1, at its dramatic SOMA
district location.
Jennie Lorenzo, Executive Chef of famed Fifth Floor Restaurant,
and Jamie Lauren, acclaimed Executive Chef at San Francisco’s
Absinthe Brasserie & Bar will each create a special course
for the evening’s collaborative prix fixe dinner. Wine
parings from select premier winemakers will be included.
“supperclub has always been a celebration of the arts,”
said General Manager Edme Straver. “Our Uber Dinners are
envisioned to showcase the best in culinary arts, and that’s
why we’re so excited to welcome stellar chefs like Jennie
and Jamie to collaborate with us.”
As always, supperclub will delight guests with a variety of
exotic and mesmerizing entertainment, music, and live performances
as they recline on comfortable Roman-style beds in the restaurant’s
all-white two-tiered main dining room.
Guest Chef Jennie Lorenzo has achieved critical acclaim at the
Michelin-rated Fifth Floor Restaurant, located in the Palomar
Hotel in San Francisco. Born and raised in Manila, Lorenzo travelled
the globe to work with some of the world’s top chefs including
Marco Pierre White at the Mirabelle and the three-Michelin-starred
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London, and with Roland Passot at
La Folie and Laurent Gras at Fifth Floor in San Francisco. She
assisted in the opening of AME at the St. Regis in San Francisco
with Lissa Doumani and Hiro Sone before jetting off to Tokyo
to work at the Michelin two-star Ryugin. Back now at Fifth Floor
as Executive Chef, Lorenzo works with Culinary Director Laurent
Manrique to transform their vision of Gascony cuisine into exceptional
and memorable dining experiences for their guests.
Growing
up in New York City, Absinthe Executive Chef Jamie Lauren’s
affinity for bright and flavorful cuisine originated as a child
at some of Manhattan’s best neighborhood restaurants.
An honors graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Lauren
has had the opportunity to work with many celebrity chefs, including
Anita Lo of Annisa in New York City, Lance Dean Velasquez of
Bendean in Berkeley, and Jean-Michel Bouvier from L’Essential

Chefs” in 2005, assuming the Executive Chef position at
Absinthe in July 2007. Best described as American-influenced
French and Northern Italian, Lauren’s menus at Absinthe
echo her commitment to organic, locally grown, seasonal ingredients.
She was named as Restaurant Hospitality Magazine’s “Rising
Star Chef 2008” and competed on Bravo's award-winning
show "Top Chef" in 2009.
